Hillary Clinton will "win" the debate. Trump has got very little command of facts and figures. In response to questions which he can't answer I predict he will say something like, "I don't personally need to know the answers to these questions because I'm going to assemble the best people for advisers." I expect to hear that two or three times. Or he might say "We're looking into that."

For Trumpies it won't really matter what happens. They will say their candidate won the debate regardless of the details. Or they will say it was rigged.

I don't watch any politickle debates and don't even know when this one takes place. They exist in order to smear the opponent and nothing else. Therefore proponents will claim their candidate won no matter what. Debates are worthless.

Who will win the debate? Whoever shows up and manages to not drop dead before the final question.

Not always true. For example, Ronald Reagan got whipped in his first debate with Mondale back in 1984. It was obvious even to Reagan supporters. I think most Gore supporters would agree that he lost the first debate with Bush in 2000. Bush was supposed to be a policy lightweight but he hung in with Gore the whole way. Gore got frustrated and began sighing all the time and rolling his eyes.

Trump, if for no other reason than his opponents thus far have underestimated him.

IMHO - a debate has no winner - each candidate presents his views -
The only way to "win" is to attract more votes during the debate.

Of course there will always be those one-liners - such as Regens "I will not exploit my opponents youthfulness"

Add to that his opponent's hubris in thinking she's the smartest one in the room.

There will be no debate, Hillary will be too sick to show up, but will blame it on riots or seasonal allergies.

Apathy is to be expected I guess, but I very much care who's going to be making the SCOTUS picks over the next 4-8 years. Trump wins hands down there.

    1. Both will insult each other.
    2. Hillary will give some facts as she sees them.
    3. Trump will ramble in his answers, but include no real substance, no real facts, i.e. he will not lay out real policy positions

    Here is my guess:

It will be a political MMA match.

Trump will run over Hillary like a new lawn mower with his bravado persona skills.
Hillary is no slouch but is not his equal.

There will be content debate on both parts but the grappling part of the match is what will count.

Hillary will either tap out or disqualify herself before the match.

I think so. She tends to do this more than Trump. We really have no idea what his policy points are as he never gives them. We know or think we know, what he believes, but he never says how he will accomplish the ideas he puts forth.

Most politicians follow this line. After all they do not want to take stands that people can hold them to or point out they did not follow.

I agree if you mean in one-line meaningless zingers and in voicing insults.

His website lists only 9 policy positions.

Remember the GOP debates when Trump's "policy" on health care was to "remove the lines around the states"? When asked to elaborate on that idea, he couldn't.

He assumed his listeners understood he was referring to buying health insurance across state lines, which is presently prohibited. And that is clearly spelled out in his healthcare policy.

Will they be on the same stage? Will they be standing for 90 minutes? Will she have a coughing fit --or worse? She may opt out for one reason or another.

Trump is a Clydesdale. Hillary is a worn out mule. She should be let out into the pasture of a prison work farm.
