Evan, can I just say plainly, you need to repent and get your heart right with God, it's obvious to me and many other posters on this site that you have some serious issues in your life. The question you need to ask is, why would God use you if you served him right now anyway? I mean yeah you preach the Gospel and give out tracts.. but I have serious doubts about whether or not you even walk in the Spirit. I don't know what your particular problem is, but I suspect that you have areas of disobedience and known sin in your life that you refuse to deal with, and it come out in the spirit and manner in which you post on here. This divorce is simply the fruit of what's truly in your heart. Evan, God is not pleased with you trying to serve him if your heart is not right with him. "to obey God is better than sacrifice".

Quite the judgmental spirit. My friends in real life disagree (who actually know me) and on this board JonC, Yeshua, nor Martin agree.

Then why bother asking for advice.

From now on please put this disclaimer on any question you ask :
Answers are not to be given if they hurt my feelings
    Only feel-good answers are permitted.

Its the tone, its the tone..... He judged me yet did not site a single sinful action of mine (not that I am perfect) but he even admitted he does not know "I don't know what your particular problem is" yet he tells me I have big problems.

You have divorced your wife for no Biblical reason. You said so yourself. That is a HUGE problem.

I do believe this is one example. Thanks Ann.

Evan, I am not your enemy, and to be quite frank I feel a comradery with you about Evangelism, but I just have deep concerns about you. and yes I am judging you, because what I have read from you, based on what is going on in your life, and based on the spirit you manifest on here, I am concluding that there is a problem. And for the record, the bible does not condemn judging others.

Why would I listen to you? I have been told by more than one person in PM that most here are very very hard on me. I was also told that you mean well but cannot give good advice. I agree with this counsel. You do mean well but that's it.

Brother Evang, I mean this with much Christian charity. Many on here have given you sound advice. Now, where I believe you went astray was this...you knew her beliefs, you knew the churches she attended and how they will not associate with others outside that fellowship, you knew her church's belief, you knew the distance that was betwixt your belief and hers , and went ahead and married her. You did not walk into this marriage blindfolded and then she showed you her true beliefs. You were willing to accept them, and all that she was, when you said 'I do" before the Almighty. Now, my wife and I have been married 11.5 years and it's not always smooth sledding as we have our many faults. But we love each other and will not let anything come betwixt us. Now, she is still not saved, but I do think she's wondering about it, but that does not make me love her less, or love her more if God saves her.

Go to Him, seek His face, and repent. I think Isaiah 55:7 is apt here.

I made a mistake plain and simple. Did I sin in filing for divorce? That depends on the interpretation as keener says one an divorce with a case of abuse. I had far more problems with her than just the church which would not be abuse. I have not disclosed all on this site but I think our backgrounds led to the differences.

But even if I did sin in all this and admit it to God who is to say I cannot remarry and get it right the next time?

I can say, because what you have done is just not Scriptural.

One who disgraces the Scriptural should not expect to receive clear and enlightened direction of the Holy Spirit in their life.

What if Keener is correct and abuse is a factor for divorce? Then I would not have been wrong.

I don't care what the excuse, it is an excuse in man thinking, only.

There is NEVER a time or excuse for divorce among two believers.

As it pertains to one who is unequally yoked to an unbeliever, Paul states that the UNBELIEVER may leave, but that the believer is still bound by oath and promise.

Craig Keener is only one man, and any man can make a mistake.

I just Gave you the Holy Words of King Jesus.

Who is smarter, Keener or Jesus?
