Remember, Jesus and the Apostles were under the Law. As were all circumcised Jews before Calvary. And that generation of about 40 years died off by the destruction of Jerusalem in AD70. Circumcision made one a physical Jew and physical member of Israel. But when Jesus abolished circumcision, he abolished the unbelieving church/state, leaving only the believing church.

Israel then comprised Jewish converts to Christ numbering thousands. And they remained Israel, but God removed the unbelievers. And almost 10 years after Pentecost God began grafting believing gentiles into their place (Romans 11). It is important to note that God did not replace Israel with the church. He broke off the unbelieving Jews and replaced them with believing gentiles to fulfill the promise to Abraham. And ever since then he adds believers from Jewish ethnicity and gentiles to Christ (Israel)

“And even they—if they do not continue in their unbelief—will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.” (Romans 11:23) (NET)
“And in this way all Israel [Jew and Gentile] will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”” (Romans 11:26–27) (ESV)

    It's all fulfilled.

Dan. 9 begins with Daniel quoting Jeremiah's 70 years prophecy which was fulfilled when Israel returned to Jerusalem.

Gabriel gives a further 70 weeks/years prophecy of 490 years ending in the 30s AD. In that period -
24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
the anointed one would complete his saving work as recorded in the Gospels & the beginning of Acts.

The prophecy of the AD 70 destruction is also included after the weeks. Jesus' Olivet prophecy refers to Daniel's prophecy.

For the father's sakes, many have been converted and more to come. But only by faith in Christ will they be reattached to Israel.

“Granted! They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear!” (Romans 11:20) (NET)

“And even they—if they do not continue in their unbelief—will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.” (Romans 11:23) (NET)

“And in this way all Israel [Jews and Gentiles through faith] will be saved, as it is written, “The Deliverer will come from Zion, he will banish ungodliness from Jacob”; “and this will be my covenant with them when I take away their sins.”” (Romans 11:26–27) (ESV)

You keep repeating that, Ian, but it is not true, several other writers say so and Eusebius is perfectly clear. Sorry to disagree with you, bro.

He spent one year in Israel when in his 20s, 60 years ago.
Now his latest album supports Medical Aid for Palestine.

Another song shows his concern for the Palestinian people -

Leon Rosselson's Song of The Olive Tree, sung by Janet Russell

What amazes me (and it should not) is how easy people are lead astray into such nonsense. smh.

Hagee denies that Jesus ever said that He is the Christ so he is not an orthodox (small letter) Christian. Falwell has a larger organization, I think.

Having spent the first 20 years of my Christian life as a Dispensationalist, I never heard such extreme views as helping along the prophetic clock. Of course, having left Dispensationalism it is easy for me to be critical of the system but I still need to treat it fairly and not create a boogie man.

I myself never agreed with John Nelson Darby but usually you cannot say that aloud in an Evangelical or Fundamentalist church. England burned a lot of people at the stake over theological issues and the people who disagree with you on the internet often like to attack you personally instead of debating the issue. I myself ignore Hagee and have ignored him for about twenty years.

I spent about 15 years in the Brethren, under that system, but began to doubt it before we left when we moved away. It is a novel system began in England in about 1825 by Edward Irving, developed by Darby, and taken by him to USA near the end of the 19th century.

It’s like buying a kitchen appliance, allot of them are cheap crap that falls apart in a year or so..... but you knew that going in, so you throw that one out and go buy another piece of crap and do it over again.... ah yes, eschatological trash.... and we keep buying it and buying it cause it looks pretty and it fits that place on the “counter of life.”
