‘Occupiers’ Throw Bibles, Allegedly Urinate on Cross

Members of the Occupy Wall Street movement urinated on a cross, desecrated a church and threw Bibles at police officers in separate incidents over the weekend.

Protesters in San Francisco occupied an abandoned hotel and began attacking police – hurling bricks and Bibles at officers.

“Once they gained access [to the hotel], some of them made it to the top of the roof and they began to throw Bibles down at the officers,” San Francisco Police Dept. spokesman Carlos Manfredi told ABC News.

Several officers were injured in the attack.

In the original NY Post article, the Presbyterian minister mentions that back in the 1980's, when the church hosted programs for drug addicts, that “not even crackheads messed with the baptismal font.” So this is a new low that OWS has come to…

I Just Can't Believe This...

...as so many on the board have spoken so highly of the OWS movement and their being so focused and on the point. The majority of these groups are not inclined toward violent acts and destruction of public and private property. :smilewinkgrin:

And to think this happened in a San Francisco area church no less, causes me to wonder if the Tea Party may be posing as OWS members and trying to bring shame on OWS? :smilewinkgrin:

If this was an OWS group, it is most definitely one that is not associated with the main group that is only out to make people across this country aware of their plight. I know, from what others on the board have told me, that OWS people do resort to violence and destruction of public property. This must be one of those aberrations, or deviations from the norm? :smilewinkgrin:

another group of protestors numbering at least a half a dozen got into a back door at the hotel. Video showed some of them on the roof.

Witnesses say some of the people inside the vacant hotel started throwing Bibles and other debris at pedestrians and police below. One KRON 4 employee narrowly escaped injury when one of the books landed just feet from him.

And those Gideons Bibles are hardback.

Yes, just like our local news stations fabricated their stories about all the damages done that taxpayers will have to rectify. ABC, NBC, and CBS affiliates doctored their video and lied about the reeking bathroom aroma that filled various public buildings. All to deliberately to portray this group of protectors in a bad light. You betcha they did.

They are nothing more than Marxist lackys who were stirred into action to make some political hay by the DNC. Now that the ploy has backfired the DNC is back-peddling as fast as they can.

The whole movement reeks of "Revolution for the Hell of It" by Abbie Hoffman.

Hoffman and Saul Alinski -- hero of current President Obama -- are all part of the Woodstock Democrats, Marxists all.
