I am getting a little tired of all these people claiming these false versions of the Bible to be Gods Word. It has even been suggested that the King James Version is the Perfect Translation of the Word.

The Living Bible was raised up and annointed in 1971, as Gods servants Tyndale Publishing were directed by God to produce a copy of the Bible that all could read and understand. It was produced in London because that is where Christ will return to reign for 1000 years on the earth as per the book of Revelation. We know this is near because of the Third Wave Movement of churches that have sprung up in Britan, replacing the era of the Lacodian traditional Church who are luke warm.

So cast those lukewarm versions off into the pit, be born again into the 1971 Living Bible which is Gods Preserved Word for the Churches. And woe unto those who would speak out against Gods word, for they show that they are the children of the devil. Oh yes, the way to hell is a wide pathway, yet the way of the Living Bible narrow and only few shall find it. Be ye one of those. [IMG]

Actually it was first published in the excerpt "Living Letters" which contained only the epistles. "Living Gospels" came out later. Then the whole New Testament. Then the whole Bible. So this was a piece-by-piece revelation.

Progressive Revelation? I like that. It was prophesied by Isaiah, "For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little: for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people."

Ken Taylor was obviously inspired and his product has been used for more than 30 years in revivals, soul winning, bible study and impacted the lives of a generation. Truly he with stammering lips and another tongue has spoken to this people . . .

    Oh no Debbie!!!

You see the Holy Spirit had to "Sift" it to ensure the translation was right. ;)

Oh Lord please lead these heathens to your word that they might see and understand.

1971! That makes this Bible the "King Nixon," or maybe the "King Tricky Dicky" version. Did Nixon authorize this version? Imagine the letter of dedication:

"Oh president, we know you were not a crook..."

Oh No No No Major B,

This Bible is from "Great Britian". From careful study of Gods Word "The Living Bible". (Called that after the flesh renewing in Ezekial) Focus on Ezekial, Daniel and Revelation, and you will soon discover that Christians are a "Remnant" people.

Anyone from America must first recognise Queen Elizabeth 11 as Soverign before they can enter into the kingdom. For our Royal Family are the continuation of the Kings of Israel in the family of Jesus Christ. Those who break away from the monarchy are followers of "the first beast".

Oh yes the way is narrow my friend, be one of those that finds it.

Other versions of the Bible are like flour that has weavils in it, you must throw them away and use only Gods pure word the 1971 Living Bible if you are to have any hope of being a follower of The Way. [IMG]

Actually, since I am a redneck southerner, the only human king I recognize is Elvis...We could have an Elvis version of the LB, with Gold Lame cover and a velvet picture of Elvis...

I suppose the British version of that is SIR Mick Jagger. [SIR Mick? Ya'll got some weird stuff in all that stiff stuffiness.]

By the way, I read a story once that Australia went on a national drunk one night and the whole continent wound up in the middle of the Atlantic...upside down, that is, New South Wales was facin' north...

Living Letters was first published in 1962. The first edition was limited to 2,000 copies. It was followed by Living Prophesies in 1965 and by Living Gospels in 1966. The Living New Testament was first published in 1967.

Living Psalms and Proverbs was first published in 1967, followed by Living Lessons of Life and Love in 1968, followed by Living Books of Moses in 1969, and followed by Living History of Israel in 1970. The Living Bible was first published in July, 1971. The Roman Catholic edition, The Living Bible with the Deuterocanonical Books, was first published in 1976.

The Living Bible (Protestant edition) was extensively revised and reissued in 1996 as The Holy Bible, New Living Translation . Help had been solicited from many Bible scholars and translators and they were asked to make recommendations for changes to the paraphrase and Tyndale House Publishers, Inc. edited their preliminary revision of The Living Bible and released it as a “translation in its own right.” :D

Ben, I see you have fallen deeply, deeply into error. If you hold to the primacy of the British lineage, the Living Bible was translated during the reign of a British queen, not a king, and therefore is corrupt.

Weren't they a "retrosexual," "ska" CCM band, led by the Baptist-turned-gay-turned-transsexual-turned-straight-turned-fundamentalist-turned-charismatic singer "Frederikkkaa?"

I think their biggest hit before they all became MacArthurites, cut their hair, learned Greek, and joined the IFCA was a song called, "When I Was Lost I Did A Lot of Bad <expletive deleted>, But Now I Don't Even Talk That Way."

Or maybe I saw them on the last Gaither "Reunion" tape...

Scary indeed. Have a cup to calm down; I once knew a person for whom Benadryl was a stimulant.

BTW, Queen's Greatest Hits was released (with lyrics), legally, in Iran this week. Surely there's a connection. There's always a connection, as you would understand if you only understood.
