Have you seen Detroit's Jobless Rate? I think they need to get their heads out of their you know whats, build an affordable small car that most folks can afford & will support and get people back to work. This isn't new technology....its been around for decades but Bush had them all seized & crushed. What your paying for is the perception of a new & efficient technology, the Unions & the arrogance of the government to think people are that dumb.

I drive a 91 Honda Accord with over 240,000 miles on it. It starts up on the coldest days, runs like a charm, everything works.

I've had to pay for repairs now and then. Most of the time those repairs cost much less than a single monthly car payment. I only carry liability insurance as the car's Blue Book value isn't much, so I save on insurance.

If I'm still alive 20 years from now I'll buy one of these modern electric cars and drive it till it quits.

Possibly, but it's far more likely that consumers that don't buy a car like the VOLT wil be fined or taxed to force compliance. Remember Obamacare.

Will we soon be saying, "How do you like your Volt that Lord Protector Obama has built for us at Government Owned Motors, Comrade?"
