I perceive you know nothing about the conditions in San Francisco. Most of the family units in my home church are only two generations deep with a whole slew of unmarried adults who moved to San Francisco away from their families. IOW, there is no choir to preach to. It's a matter of educating folks who have no legacy in "the church."
You seem to have glossed over my comment about a balanced diet. We actively seek to evangelize the lost. One must take care not to confuse evangelism with discipleship. Countering the world's indoctrination is not evangelism it's discipleship. I alluded to sailors supplementing with lemons to prevent scurvy. To add to my remark, not every ship needed to supplement their crew's diet. In this case, it's a matter of properly discipleing new Christians.

So we shouldn't have laws against murdering people, then? Because people should just not have murder in their hearts?

    Quite dishonest of you.

I said be led by the Holy Spirit.

You turn that into “winging it”.

    You are literally babbling.

Antinomianism. I looked it up. It has been historically associated with Gnosticism, among other things.

    My spidey senses are tingling.

An anti-Nazi conservative from Austria who lived during the WWII era. He fled Austria, returned to Germany, then returned to the U.S. Interesting thoughts about Gnosticism.

    Know Your Gnostics

"One of the chief vices Voegelin ascribes to Gnosticism is the will to live in a dream world and the reluctance to allow reality to intrude upon the dream."

"But in the Gnostic dream world, the question of whether the supposed beneficiaries of one’s virtuously motivated crusade realistically can be expected to gain or lose as a result of it is dismissed as an unseemly compromise with reality."

“The gap between intended and real effect will be imputed not to the Gnostic immorality of ignoring the structure of reality but to the immorality of some other person or society that does not behave as it should according to the dream conception of cause and effect.”

I really believe it applies to the modern apolitical movement in the Church. I don't believe it's possible to separate politics from morality. I would agree Churches can cross the line and become too politically active. I also believe they can cross the line and become too politically passive and I think the latter is more prevalent.

You should not associate carnal minded politics with Jesus. If you do, nearly half the nation already thinks you're off and wants nothing to do with that sort of Christ. Just as you think the other half are "off". And you want nothing to do with their sort of Christ.

If you drive people away with political rhetoric, how can they ever hear the gospel?

Thanks, but how many do we drive away by associating ourselves and Christ with political groups possibly half of America hates and goes out of their way to avoid?

How does anything but God's word produce genuine faith? “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” (Romans 10:17) (MEV)

If you preach politics, you are working for the wrong master.

Certain groups made it political. But it is still here. Only the gospel will stop abortion. If you give people a chance to hear it without first driving them away.

Wow. So now being pro-life is carnal minded.

Can't you see how far out into left field you've traveled?

So IOWs don't vote, just preach the gospel. That's the mindset. Very sad.

I'd be curious how you would act if RvW was a threat to you. My guess it you'd get very political very fast, begging for your life.

I'm not politically aligned, nor am I a conservative or a liberal. It is all carnal mindedness no matter how you package it. But I can speak to people who you cannot speak to because of your political worldliness.
