    New? Hardly.

Did you forget about the novel - Checkpoint - that spent 115 pages discussing how to assassinate President Bush?

Here is a review of the book that you can find on Amazon.com

"If you don’t like George W., you might like Checkpoint—at least its uncontrolled rage against the administration. In his seventh novel, Baker focuses his trademark style of writing minutiae on a rambling conversation between two Bush detractors. “[It] makes Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11 look like a work of Jamesian subtlety and nuance. There isn’t a graceful or interesting sentence in this blunt, plotless, obscenity-laden screed,” says Entertainment Weekly."

Now you can tell me all about how this is not a valid example...

C4K, can you give an example of the "hate" shown toward the Obama administration and also name the "source" that you refer to in your post?

    Thanks,
    HN

C4K, what you classify as hate is as mild and bland as vanilla pudding compared to the vitriol members of this board showed the previous administration. (Can't use the word B_ _ h, because it seems to be a profanity to some). I do not view the comments as being hateful, snide? yes, sarcastic? yes, cutting? yes, bitter? maybe. But hate filled? no. I disagree with that assessment. As has been said many times, this is a debate board. Harsh and pointed comments are to be expected. This thread is not about a theological point, but "Current Events".

Can anyone say Michael Moore? Talk about a hateful person...

    Hey, I have an idea...

A pay per view cage fight.. Michael Moore and Steven Anderson...

    That would be entertainment!...

Sanderson could bring his TV smashing sledge hammer...

The world does not revolve around this board. The thread is about hatred being shown in public and I don't think there is any doubt that those who should be above this have lowered themselves to the level of critics of the previous administration.

No matter what forum, theology of politics God's children ought to behave at a level above the world's level.

Good point. What were your feelings towards Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan?

I don't seem to remember you being concerned about the hate being shown to Bush.

No claim is made about the world revolving around the board. You made a statement with the clear implication that since you made it on the board, you were applying it to the board. If you don't intend a remark to apply only to the board, make it clear. Further for you to imply that I think the world does revolve around the board is a stretch. You seem to be the one for whom the world revolves around the board--nearly 25000 posts. You obviously spend far more time here than most. But I guess for you it is okay if the board is your world. It isn't mine.
