    A&E was not the free market at work. However, the response from the consumers to reinstate Phil certainly is.

    $4 billion in merchandise sales at Wal-Mart and other retail outlets of "Duck stuff" the last two weeks made an impression. A&E didn't even try to put a very good spin on it, as this, from the Rev's linked article, indicates:
    In other words, "Our advertisers raised tea-total heck with us and we realized we were not so stupid as to chase money out the door."

    When the A&E contract expires, I hope the Robertsons "entertain offers" from other media outlets. They'll double their income if they do.

    Phil and the "ducksters" should have thumbed their noses at A&E and started their own network.

    A&E needs the "ducksters" but they don't need A&E.
