A member is very sick

    Some of you know my sister, Gayla. This is the screen name she use on the BB, as well as her real name.

    She is very sick, the cancer is running up and down her spinal column, and the Doctors don't hold out much hope. She has 2 small children, under 10 years.
    As she lives in Georgia, we didn't realize how bad the situation was until this week.

    My brother and I are going to my parents this evening to tell them about the seriousness her disease, and Mom will "freak out" as the kids say. Not the kind of visit one wants to make.

    Please pray for all of us, and for God to prepare the heart of my Mom.

    Oh my dear Lord and God my Father, Please have mercy on Gayla and her family. May He open up His arms and healing may be done by His will alone. Help me to submit to that will and praise His Holy name, in Jesus the Son.

    Gayla is on my church prayer list now.....and also in my daily prayers. She was such a help to me when I found out about my cancer. My heart goes out to her and all the family, and I wish I was close by so I could help.

    I'm so sorry to hear this.:tear: I've been praying for her daily, and will continue to pray for her healing, peace, and comfort. The family is in my prayers as well.

    The ladies in the WPF have had a prayer clock going for Gayla for well over a week. We have also been sending her cards every day.

    This news is so sad. Carl let me know a couple of days ago that she only has 6 months to live. We all love Gayla and will continue to pray for a miracle.

    God please help Gayla, for He is the only one who has the power to step in now and take over Gayla's sickness. I pray God will put His arms around you and give you healing and peace.

    Thanks everyone. Sorry to be so late with an update. Between modem problems and a very busy 2 weeks, including VBS this week, it's been hard to get online.

    Wheels are in motion to get Gayla and family here to Oklahoma, so she can be with family. It took some doing, but she is scheduled to be on a medical flight (Angel wings, or something like that, don't know the name of the group.) next Tues, 15 July. Carl can fly with her. She will have to go by ambulance from Valdosta, GA to Atlanta, fly to Tulsa, OK, and then by ambulance to Okla City. The plane does not have the proper certificate or something to land here at Will Rogers World Airport. I hope the extra road trip isn't too much for her.

    My brother, his wife, and I will be driving to Meridian, Mississippi this weekend to pick up the kids and Carl and Gayla's mini-van. Wasn't sure if I was going to get to go, due to an unhelpful boss. He did nothing to help get someone to cover my shift this weekend, so I had to do it myself.

    Again, thanks for the prayers. I'm so glad I'm a part of the Family of God!!
