This is a plea for all of you young folks out there. If you have not found the Living God, I beg you to seek him before it is too late. I don't profess to know anymore than anyone else, but I feel as many do that The Lord's day is very near. (I am compelled to pray for his return many times daily.) If you have been saved, and have Jesus in your heart please bear with me.

I am not so old, but I am not so young anymore either. But, I woke up one day not too long ago, and found, as others do, my life was more than half over, and I had little to show the Lord for it. I'm talking about my faith and the life I chose to live. (Don't get me wrong, I have a wonderful husband and children, and I love them dearly. Even if we screw up, sometimes the Lord has a way of blessing us anyway.) I was saved, as many, as a young teenager. I felt called to do his bidding. I was strong in my faith and involved in my church. Well, life throws you some curves now and then. We moved when I was 15, never found another church or became involved in one. That's when my life started, and I forgot all about God. He found me again about 25 years later. 25 years of a life without giving one thing to him. 25 YEARS OF SELFISHNESS!

My plea is that you will do everything you can to keep his spirit within you. That in everything you do, you consider him. Do not even sleep or wake without him. Consider that your life may be different than mine. That you can Glorify God every day of your life. Serve him in all that you do. If he calls you to minister or to be a missionary or witness to those around you, please do it. You have choices you can make right now, that will impact how you will wake up in 25 years! The hands of time do not turn back! Keep him in you always. And no matter what happens as life throws you those curves, as mine did, PRAISE HIM and LOVE HIM, and seek those who share your faith.
    Sincerely,
    Older but Wiser

    InChristsBlood,
Thank you for such wonderful words of encouragement. I enjoyed reading your testimony. I'm so glad you are serving the Lord again. My great grandpa got saved 4 days before his death, and said he wished he had done it sooner.
I got saved 3 years ago{july 16,1999}and it's been wonderful. the onley thing I regret is that I didn't get saved sooner.
    you are right about us all doing everthing for Christ now. I am reminded that He can come at any moment, and when we least expect it! {kinda like when you least expect someone to come to your house and it isn't clean! :D }
I am 14, and hopefuly, if the Lord tarries,I can serve Him for MANY more years.

MEASAGE TO ANYONE ELSE WHO READS THIS: inchristsblood is right about us all needing to be ready for our Lord's coming. weither you need to get saved or if you need to serve the Lord better.
She is also right about surrendering your life to God if has called you to the ministry. My preacher says the safest place is in God's will and that we will never be completly happy unless we are doing what God would have us to do.
{I know that I need to constantly pray for wisdom and ESPECIALY patience {i have an awful temper! ;) } and I need to do much more for my Savior. After all, He DID die on the cross for me, the least I coild do is serve Him.
I just ask that everyone really look at their life, and ask "Am I doing my best?"
    your sister and
    friend in our
    wonderful, precious
    Savior,
    saved by grace 1999

inchristblood, i too have some points to add to what you've started. but first let i want to extend my appreciation in your assertions! indeed, though those statements have been many, many times said, it's always refreshing to hear from one.

well, i've gone in the same situation when i was devoted for obedience to God, but have declined from so at one point.

well, to all who have read what inchristblood had posted and are in similar mentality as she has right now, always be cautious that the heat, emotions, encouragement and companies from the bretheren in serving God will at certain times cool off, as God permits, until what is left of you is only yourself and your faith in God. There will even be times that obedience to God will look absurd. Then that may be a time when you will realize as to how much your faith have grown. to the world, we are fools for Christ's sake.

remember, king solomon himself failed in this matter, in spite of having the greatest wisdom, plus direct revelations from God. the reason for such failure though in the midst of all widom is that King Solomon trusted his own intelligence. it should be noted that however mature we become, we still cannot trust our own hearts, but instead always cling on God through faith. we must always be alert as our adversary, the devil, is like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. to add to the point, if the devil has outsmarted king solomon in convincing him to turn away from God, just think of what he can do to deceive us should we trust our own hearts instead of Christ!

aki, You are very right about the devil decieving us. I am always reminded of the verse that says
"Wherefore let him that thinketh he stand, take heed lest he fall" I Corinthians 10:12 KJV
and that verse is very true.
just when I think think things are going good, I mess up! I guess that's another thing the Lord and I must work on!
    In our Precious Savior,
