In ''Descent of man'' Darwin wrote: "The chief distinction in the intellectual powers of the two sexes is shewn by man's attaining to a higher eminence, in whatever he takes up, than can woman - whether requiring deep thought, reason, or imagination, or merely the use of the senses and hands"( see: Darwin, Descent of Man - Chapter 19 - Secondary Sexual Characters of ManChapter 19, 1871 edition at http://www.und.edu/instruct/akelsch/399/darwin.htm )

Do you see what happens when you make dogmatic and vehement statements based on errant speculation? Some people never learn. [IMG]

Yeah, well, the old fellow had a lot of problems, but I'm sure he knows better now... :D

In that time period, I doubt seminary would have taught him anything different.

I find the posting of a laughing face in response to the supposition that Darwin is in hell something that Christ surely would not do, but something that Satan surely does.

I thought that too at first, but I decided to proceed with the assumption that they thought that perhaps Darwin was in heaven and found out there that he was mistaken. [IMG]

Although this is something that almost every male and female in the world would have agreed with Darwin about and been wrong about during that time period.
