A STEADFAST HOPE

Religious men, by nature search the scriptures to determine how they should live, in order to commend themselves to their god for salvation and physical blessings.

Romans 10:3
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

The gospel reveals the finished work of Christ in establishing a righteousness in which all He represented through His obedience unto death are accounted the righteousness of God in Him.

Sinners, who find no hope, nor merit in themselves, look only to THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Ephesians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

Jeremiah 23: 6
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.
