A Word of Encouragement and a Free Doctrinal Resource for Pastors

Brothers and sisters,

My name is Rev. Von Hanshaw. I have served as an Independent Free Will Baptist minister for over four decades, pastoring churches, working in prison ministry, and teaching doctrine to young preachers. I am retired from active pulpit ministry due to health issues, but I am still able to minister online. I’m writing today not to promote anything, but simply to strengthen the Body of Christ.

In recent years, I’ve watched many pastors—especially those in small, rural, or independent churches—struggle to find clear, concise doctrinal material that is faithful to Scripture and free from denominational politics. Because of that burden, I’ve been writing short doctrinal helps, sermon outlines, and teaching guides that pastors can use freely.

I want to offer one of those resources here today. It’s a free PDF titled:

“The Free Will Baptist Distinctives: A Concise Pastoral Guide.”

It covers:
• The nature of free will
• The doctrine of conditional security
• The call to holiness
• The role of the local church
• Practical pastoral applications

If this would help you, your church, or your teaching ministry, you are welcome to email me and I will send you a free copy of the eBook version.
My only desire is to strengthen pastors and encourage doctrinal clarity.

If you find it helpful, I have additional free resources available, and I’m glad to share them with anyone who asks.

Grace and peace to each of you as you labor for Christ.
