How accepting is your church of those struggling with drug and alcohol abuse?

I would really like to think wide open because of the nice greeting we do our best to give, but truly sinners in real need are somewhat discerning more than we realize and see thru the hypocrisy of some, but accusing the entire group. Though I really don't believe we are all innocent of that, we are all guilty at times, but for the most part we are real. That does not go w/o saying, that many who do come our way meet with the expectation of being "judged' only to find it in error, and are floored by the welcome, that usually scares them to death and they flee because of the love they didn't expect to find. We all hope they will come back.

Truly hurting people will stick around for help, but those who have a picture already painted, will eventually find fault and leave. What a shame, either way!
