Airman Receives MOH Posthumously

    President Trump bestowed the Medal Of Honor to the widow of the late Tech Sgt. John H. Chapman recently.. Sgt. Chapman, who was wounded some 7 times, ultimately gave his life to help save his fellow warriors on a mountaintop in Afghanistan in 2002.

    I know a lot of people think Air Force personnel are mostly rear area technical people, but there are many front line combat positions that Air Force people occupy. Among them are Combat Controllers, Pararescue men, combat trained Security Police and of course aircrew personnel. My hat is off to this brave airman who upheld the highest traditions of the USAF.
