More like if it wasn't for W's daddy's buddies, the voter fraud in Florida, and the Supreme Court acting to fix an election, Al Gore would be President.

That's what people say. They all lie, so it doesn't matter.
Basically, whoever is elected is the best liar.

Interesting! Why would these climate change advocates want to destroy the western economic powers? What do you base this knowledge on?

An honest reading of the Kyoto protocol. The US does all the work, and "developing nations" get a free pass.

All for unproven junk science, to boot.

I base it on their actions of course. The US and Western Europe pay all the bills and China and Russia get a free pass. They want to restrict wealth in 3rd world countries as well but it is the US economy that drives the world. Air quality in the US continues to improve yet it is here that they want more restrictions. If they really wanted to help the planet then what they are doing makes no sense. China produces more CO2 than the United States now. Look at the SO2, look at the water.

Our own government's energy policies don't make any more sense. I can burn coal from West Virginia and with the scrubbers they generate less SO2 than if I burn oil. Yet my own government is forcing me to switch to more expense middle eastern oil instead of burning American coal. Explain that to me.

I never have trusted the energy policies made
in Washington, D.C. by people who wear COATS
    in the summer???
They have no idea of what
    energy policy should be :(

// China produces more CO2 than the United States now. //

Overall, yes. But each individual USofA person
makes six times as much CO2 as do those Chinamen.
However, each Chinaman makes more methane
    than USofA persons
cause they eat lots more cheap/polluted rice (putttt!)
Methane is a much more worser greenhouse gas
    than CO2.
