Karl Rove has been part of the Bush machine since the early 90's. When Rove was Pryor's campaign manager in 1998 he was still part of the Bush machine. Karl Rove is known for planning for the distant future, he knows how to put things in motion. There is no doubt in my mind that Pryor met with Rove as an advisor during the Roy Moore "problem". </font>
I could with just as much proof insist that there is no doubt in my mind that Shakespeare was a cross-dresser. You need to prove your assertion, or retract it. When and where did Rove meet with Pryor concerning the Roy Moore debacle? Cite your source. </font>
I gave my source in an earlier post. It's not a big secret that Karl Rove has been with the Bush team since the early 90's and it's not a secret that he was Pryor's campaign manager, and has been is advisor ever since. Karl Rove is America's Joseph Goebbels.

That's just the problem - should we all be willing to abandon our constitutional RIGHTS just because some secularists in DC tell us our constittutional rights are 'unconstitutional'? Moore clearly had the Ten Amendments on his side, and the Federal Court was thus acting illegaly in legislating by decree.

    </font>
I think it is important to note that nothing in that article in any way states that Rove and Pryor spoke at all during the Roy Moore debacle.

    You lose.

    You're beginning to be repetitious.

This shows a fundamental misunderstanding of government that is all too prevalent among some in here. Under our constitution, the federal courts tell us what the law means. In this case, they said the law meant that the 10 commandments could not be placed.

If you disagree, then there are legal means to address that ... through the courts and then the legislature, the impeachment and removal of judges, etc. The means that is not at the disposal of hte Christian is civil disobedience, since no biblical command was in view. God commanded us to obey the authorities.

Moore did not have the 10 Commandments on his side. He sinned and rebelled agaisnt God by refusing to submit himself to the authorities that be.

We do not have the prerogative of being disobedient to God and the law when we don't like a law. We are required, for the sake of hte Lord's name, to submit ourselves to those in authority.

All too often among Christians, the Bible is virtually unrecognized as authority. It is a shame that there are some in here who defend and encourage rebellion and sin against God. This is black and white in Scripture.

This kind of comment has no place in this discussion. It is completely out of bounds. You cannot win this argument on its merits and so you resort to name calling and association. There is absolutely no excuse for this. It is shameful.

    It's not name calling...

Joseph Goebbels was a political genius, so is Karl Rove. They both know what it takes to "get out the vote" and win elections.

And we are certain that you had no intention of equating Rove and the GOP with the National Socialist Party of 1930's Germany, either.

How ya coming on that proof I asked for?

I could have called him the "Bobby Fischer" of politics, but I don't know if he plays chess. [IMG]

My point was he is a political genius and has been running political campaigns sincs the early 80's. Joseph Goebbels was also a political genius who mastered the are of winning elections.

I haven't looked for any proof for you. If you want to believe that Pryor didn't talk to his advisor who just happens to be the same person who has been the brains behind the Bush campaigns since 1980, That is fine with me. I believe common sense would say that he probably did talk to Rove, but I could be wrong.

Okay, if that is alll you meant by it, then that is fine. It appeared an attempt to connect him with Nazism and that would have been unacceptable.

See, that's the problem with calling something "common sense." It implies both that everyone thinks that way and that it makes sense. I contend that it makes exactly no sense for an attorney general to consult a campaign manager in re the law.

To connect him with Nazism you would have to go to Rove's grandfather, Karl Heinz Roverer, the Gauleiter of Oldenburg. Roverer was Reich-Statthalter---Nazi State Party Chairman---for his region. But that is not Karl Rove's fault!

I wouldn't say that Karl Rove supports Nazism jus because his grandfather did anymore than I would say that George W. Bush supports Nazism because his grandfather helped finance the Nazi Party, or Arnold Schwarzenegger supports Nazism because his father father volunteered for the infamous Nazi SA and became a ranking officer.

I'm sure I have some ancestors who did some pretty bad things, and I am not guilty of their mistakes. I was only pointing out that both Rove and Goebbels are political masterminds, who know how to get people to vote. Look at the millions who didn't vote in 2000, that Rove got to the polls this week. Regardless of his political views, no one can deny that Karl Rove is a political genius.

Really? Entire churches? Why, that's fascinating! Perhaps you could share your evidence of entire churches being compelled, en masse, to vote for Bush!
