America Returned to her Roots tonight

    It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us -- that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion -- that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain -- that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom -- and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

    It's great to see the people return to the polls to vote. It's especially great to see young people vote in large numbers. I truly believe we have a golden opportunity to regain our respected role in the world not as a conqueror but as a compassionate people. May God bless the United States of America.

    Senator McCain delivered an outstanding speech tonight in conceding to Senator Obama. I usually hate this term but I can't think of a better one. He showed a great deal of CLASS in asking the American people to unite behind the new leadership. He is a good man.

    I thought the same thing. If only his campaign had this tone, I would have voted for him instead of Barr.

    A respected role in the world? Give me a break! I should think that we as Christians should worry more about what almight GOD thinks of us, instead of the heathen, godless, communists who belong to Satan.

    If B. Hussein Obama and his supporters get their way, abortion on demand, homosexual marriage, socialism, and Christian persecution will overtake our country in short order.

    No, I can no longer say "God bless America. Instead, I can only say, may God have mercy on the Christians who helped vote this infidel into office! He represents everything that God's people should be standing firmly against.:tear:

    McCain really shown us what a great American and true patriot he is. I only wish all of America can show the mettle he demonstrated tonight.

    The ones that voted for Obama will bow one day before the true Messiah.. I just hope they repent of their sin before they do. Yes, Sin..

    Gloating is something every winning side does after an election...but insulting a war hero is reprehensible. You should be ashamed of your comment. You have damaged your witness for Christ.

    Concerning the Obama win: I had hoped for something better. But this is what the Lord has done. Our God reigns over the nations of the earth and America is no different. God raises presidents and He takes them down. And sometimes He gives a nation a bad one. I think this is what the Lord has done to America, but that is my opinion.

    What is our duty as Christians? To pray for all those in authority. O Lord our God, you have given us a leader that many righteous men and women believe will do harm to our nation. But our hope and trust in you Lord, not in any man. May your will be done. Give President Obama wisdom to lead this nation. Help him see any error in his judgments and give him grace and power when dealing with out enemies. Surround him Lord with wise and godly counselors, and then put in his heart a spirit of meekness and humility to give them heed.

    Save, I pray, O Lord your church in this hour. May it be a time when all true Christians in the USA strengthen themselves in you and you alone.

    In the Name of the Lord of lord, King of kings, and President of presidents. Amen.

    Did I say He was?..

    but he is against Abortion.. which the Dems so proudly uphold
    He calls Homos, abominations... which the dems so proudly support...

    He says that if a person doesn't work they shouldn't eat.. .but the dems so proudly take away from hard working people to give to lazy bums....

    He may not be Republican... but He knows an Obamanation when He sees one.

    He also said "Blessed are the peacemakers."

    He also said that we should love our neighbors.

    McCain was not God's candidate. He is an American hero with some flaws (like us all). Obama also has some flaws, but he is our President.

    Although, I would like to be patriotic about this, my hopes for better Christian values in the country I love look slim, I mourn for the unborn, my heart is brought low, yet I know my Comforter will strenghten me, be my hope, and is not far from me, and I will speak His truth continually. For tonight... back to a reading of Psalms.


    (Psa 38:15) For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

    (Psa 38:16) For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
