Wal-Mart’s still number one, and Costco has a way to go to catch up.

Sixty-four percent (64%) of Americans have at least a somewhat favorable view of Wal-Mart, including 24% who are very favorable toward the merchandising giant. A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 33% view Wal-Mart unfavorably including 15% a very unfavorable view.

I do nearly all my shopping there. I like the convenience of finding nearly everything I want there. If I need an oil change, I can shop while they change my oil.

Just came home from a COSTCO shopping trip. Prices are good, quality is first class, and we get a double kick back on costco/amx credit card purchases. What we save on coffee pays for the cost of the membership fees. Last year our annual kick back was $500.

We shop at Wal-Mart every week. And the company that I work for sells a whole lot of gasoline in their parking lots.

It is called "commodity gas." It is clean and meets octane requirements but only a half dozen or so brands meet Japanese detergant standards. On the Left Coast, Shell, Chevron, and Union 76. The extra dime is worth it to me. And Chevron stations always have clean restrooms, southern Cal excepted.:BangHead:

I like wal mart, buy almost eveything there, couldn't afford to live shopping elsewhere.

We buy it all the time Ken, and it's fine.
But not necessarily cheaper, maybe at most 2 or 3 cents, and not all the time, I've seena few times it was actually higher. BUT, we put our gas money on a wal mart gift card and get an additional 3 cents off.
