And for those who think Jesus Christ did not have a personal relationship with Jews of the Old Testament:

    Moreover, brethren,
I would not that ye should be ignorant,
how that all our fathers were under the cloud,
    and all passed through the sea;
And were all baptized unto Moses
    in the cloud and in the sea;
    And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them:
    and that Rock was Christ.

Now all these happened unto them for ensamples:
and they are written for our admonition,
upon whom the ends of the world are come.
    1 Corinthians 10:1-4,11

Praise God for our Jewish believer brethren, in whatever testament they have lived.

    Now concerning spiritual gifts,
    brethren,
I would not have you ignorant.
    1 Corinthians 12:1

Notice this is to the Corinthians,

the apostle Paul writing to a basically Gentile church.

Ye know that ye were Gentiles,
carried away unto these dumb idols,
    even as ye were led.
    1 Corinthians 12:2

Notice he says, "ye were Gentiles".

That is, you are not Gentiles any longer.

    For
"There is neither Jew nor Greek,
there is neither bond nor free,
there is neither male nor female:
for ye are all one in Christ Jesus."
    Galatians 3:28

    (Greek = Gentile)

Praise to God there are no distinctions in Christ: one in Christ.

The God of this people Israel
    chose our fathers,
    and exalted the people
    when they dwelt as strangers
    in the land of Egypt,
    and with an high arm
brought he them out of it.
    Acts 13:17

Verily, verily I say unto you,
    He that heareth my word,
and believeth on him that sent me,
    hath everlasting life,
and shall not come into condemnation,
but is passed from death unto life.
    John 5:24

Thanks and praise to God for having Old Testament truth repeated in the New.

And what one nation on earth is like thy people,
    even like Israel,
whom God went to redeem for a people unto himself,
and to make him a name,
and to do for you great things
    and terrible,
    for thy land,
    before thy people,
    which thou redeemedst
    to thee from Egypt,
from the nations and their gods?
    2 Samuel 7:23

Praise God for Israel, the people redeemed of God.

And as many as walk according to this rule,
    peace be on them,
    and mercy,
and upon the Israel of God.
    Galatians 6:16

Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?
or who shall stand in his holy place?
    He that hath clean hands,
    and a pure heart;
who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity,
    and sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive the blessing from the Lord,
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of them that seek him,
    that seek thy face,
    O Jacob.
    Selah.
    Psalm 24:3-6

Praise to God that Old Testament seekers could receive blessing and righteousness from God.

    in one body

    having slain the enmity thereby.

    And behold,
thou shalt conceive in thy womb,
    and bring forth a son,
and shalt call his name JESUS.
    He shall be great,
and shall be called the Son of the Highest:
and the Lord God shall give unto him
the throne of his father David:
    Ans he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
    Luke1:31-33

Praise to God for Old Testament believers and New Testament believers will be united in the house of Jacob and his kingdom for ever.

    But those things,
    which God before had shewed
by the mouth of all his prophets*,
    that Christ should suffer,
    he hath so fulfilled.
    Acts 3:18

Praise God we know from Old Testament believers.

    Wherefore
    remember,
    that ye
    being in time past
    Gentiles in the flesh...
    That at that time
    ye were without Christ,
    being aliens from
    the commonwealth of Israel...
    Ephesians 2:11a,12a

Praise to God we are no longer Gentiles but are now in the commonwealth of Israel thanks to the blood of Christ {:13b}.

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs,
    and of the same body,
and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
    Ephesians 3:6

Praise God that all believers are in the same body.

    For he is our peace,
    who hath made both one,
    and hath broken down
    the middle wall of partition between us;
    Having abolished in his flesh
    the enmity,
    even the law of commandments contained in ordinances;
    for to make in himself
    of twain
    one new man,
    so making peace;
    And the he might reconcile
    both
    unto God
    in one body
    by the cross,
    having slain the enmity thereby:
    Ephesians 2:14-16

Praise to God He has made Jewish believers and Gentile believers one new man.

    For we are the circumcision,
which worship God in the spirit,
    and rejoice in Christ Jesus,
and have no confidence in the flesh.
    Philippians 3:3

Praise God for the circumcision we all have thanks to Jesus Christ.

And have put on the new man,
    which is renewed in knowledge
after the image of him that created him:
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew,
    circumcision nor uncircumcision,
    Barbarian,
    Scythian,
    bond nor free:
    but Christ is all,
    and in all.
    Colossians 3:10-11

Praise to God there are NO distinctions in Christ.

"This is an extremely important point to grasp because it explains why there is so much confusion regarding the relationship between the church and Israel. The answer depends on whether we are talking about national Israel or true Israel. The church is distinct from national Israel, just as the true Israel in the Old Testament was distinct from national Israel even while being part of national Israel. The remnant group was part of the whole but could also be distinguished from the whole by its faith."

    Behold,
    the days come,
    saith the Lord,
that I will make a new covenant
    with the house of Israel,
and with the house of Judah:
    Jeremiah 31:31

That is the new covenant which we who believe partake of.

It is made with the house of Israel.

Praise to God we are of the house of Israel.

Hosea 11:When Israel was a child, I loved him,
And out of Egypt I called My son......

Matthew 2:13–15 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.” When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, “Out of Egypt I called My Son.”

Have we considered yet that Jesus is the True Israel?

We bless and curse Him based on how we live our lives as well. How do we treat other people- as a witness for Him or a witness against Him (a blessing or curse)?.

To whom much is given, much is required. It is not words, which can ring hollow, but deeds and actions. What we do reveals our heart and our walk with...or away from...Christ.

It is easy to say "love your enemies". It is much harder to actually love them, to be kind to those who come against us. BUT while we were sinners - enemies of God - He died for us.

Imitating Christ and loving one another is how, IMHO, we are blessed. Living in strife is how we are cursed. The former is a life of the Spirit and the latter of the flesh.

    Great.

Out of Egypt I called my Son.

    My Son is Israel.

Praise to God, His Son is Israel.
