Another despicable Louisianna politician

Being a congressman, he was taking advantage of the perks afforded him, in his position.

I have no problem with his actions.

Misappropriation of a government vehicle and a squad of MPs is not a perk, it's a felony and he should be prosecuted. Those guardsmen, who were supposed to be conducting search and rescue, spent over an hour on his front porch waiting for him to gather up is personal stuff. Abuse of power stinks no matter who does it, and conressman Jefferson should become familiar with jail food.

Being corrupt or stupid or both seems to be a prerequisite to be a politician in Louisiana.

My apologies in advance to those dedicated individuals that are neither. I just don't know their names.

I don't think personal property inspection in light of a national disaster qualifies as a perk. He wrongfully appropriated military equipment and personnel to do this. A republican would have been crucified by the national media if he did this.

As a Republican, I could give a rat's tush if he wanted to check his house out and I hope that he was one of the lucky ones that didn't lose everything.
