I am surprised no one has brought this news up.

The opposition parties are planning to vote the sitting government down. You kow why?

The sitting government has decided to freeze the wages and government financing of all members and parties.

I can't imagine no pay rise for sitting politicians...Mercy me! Good reason to cause a 300 million dollar election. Well, they will ask the Governor General to dismiss the sitting government and ask the opposition parties, a coallition of the Liberal and New Democratic Party to form a government.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Jim, curious, do the politics there 'enjoy' the same vicious 'knock-em down, drag em out' there as it seems to approach here?

Sounds like the sitting government is onto something! Would the freeze effect the wages of government workers or just those holding office? (I can see where the dependancy on government employment and wages can create a voters block which works against the country and the economy.)
