Another Vague Article on Assault Rifles

    The local left-leaning newspaper, the Minneapolis StarTribune (the "Red StarTribune") ran a story about assault-style rifles on the front page of the Sunday paper. As usual, I read the article paying close attention to how they would define an "assault-style" rifle.

    Turns out that Minnesota has a definition codified into law. They name 17 styles of rifles, including the AR-15 and AK-47. The key phrases in the definition?

    "Firearms that can fire and reload a single round with one trigger squeeze."
    and
    Guns that "shooters don’t need to manually reload until the full magazine is empty."

    So, under those definitions, any gun that shoots more than one round without reloading. So, includes revolvers, right?

    Maybe. The first stage of the DA trigger makes it iffy.

    Now you’re getting warm about what the left really wants, to disarm you. You’d be lucky to keep the old 12 gauge single shot that came down to you from generations past.
    ‘Oh no,’ they’ll say, ‘if you like your doctor....er gun, you can keep your gun, in our control of course, we’ll let you check it out like a library book to use if things are going well, & you haven’t done anything to make us doubt you, & you return it on time. It will require a new government department & JOBS created, great union high paying (at your expense) jobs! There. We’ve averted a civil war, & now control everything. We are so brilliant we can hardly stand it.’
