    That simply is not true.

Show me anywhere in Mt. 24 where Jesus says anything about the trasfiguration. The fact is, he told them that all these things would happen before his coming and the end of the age.

What? Your position is not making sense. First you say Mt. 24 was fullfilled at the transfiguration, and then you say it was history and had nothing to do with Mt. 24? What are you talking about? Let me make this real simle for you:

Either you believe Jesus fullfilled his own prophecy of his coming in Mt. 24 at the transfiguration, thus making him a false prophet, or else you will have to acknowledge that the transfiguration was not the fullfillment of the Olivet Discourse. Which is it?

Ok. So, are you now changing your original opinion?

    Matthew 16:27-28

    Matthew 24:30-31

Do you not see the similarities in these two verses? How many comings do you think there are?

Except that the kingdom, the church, prophecynut, was established almost 2000 years ago, during the lifetimes of some of those people.

    Col. 1:13 (ESV)
He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

    prophecynut,

If Jesus doesn't return by 2027, are you going to admit that your eschatology is wrong?

I have the same basic eschatological views (pre-trib, pre-mil), but am not bound by dates. If the Lord doesn't return in my lifetime it won't make any difference.

If I am wrong I will know when I get to heaven ;) .

Do you believe that when Jesus was born in the flesh that He did so to establish an earthly kingdom right then but was unable to do so?

Do you believe that it was God's intention to establish the church when Jesus was born in the flesh?
