I encourage you to seek Him in the Word of God. Just you and Him. I know He will direct your steps. Your steps may not be directed to a "church" as you know it.

I know it is nice to go to a church where most of your theological ideas are expressed in that church. Although I do not have the 'gifts of the Spirit' I do enjoy going occasionally to a First Assembly of God in Bethlehem. The pastor is a great preacher is stays with the Word.

Most often the 'interpretation of tongues' takes place, and I have always found it uplifting and glorifying the Lord God Almighty as to His love, care and intense interest in what is going on in our lives. The feeling is that as the interpretation comes, that God is saying in effect, "Do you not know how able I am to meet your needs and to lift up your spirit? Trust in Me and depend on Me as your source, and I will never disappoint, because I am your God."

The message always glorifies Jesus and builds up your confidence in the Lord. I am not pushing any denomination, only to say that their church is always filled and they are building a new one somewhere in the valley. Denominational labels, to me, mean little to nothing. I need to have my soul fed, by hearing the precious Word of God.

I found a Methodist Church one block from my house, and it was fine, but they had a Welcoming Time, that, to me, was too long, and was a distraction from Divine worship. I know it is difficult to find exactly what you desire.

I think three manifestations of God doesn't agree with the scriptures. Looking at scripture I see the manifestation of God in the angel of the LORD, Melchizedek,the Son (God with us), a dove,pillar of a cloud, pillar of fire. After Jesus rose from the dead, it is written in Mark 16:9-12 "Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. After that he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country." Here is another example of God revealing Himself in another form. I believe this agrees with 1Tim. 3:16.

So I would agree if One-ness Pentecostal's believe God only manifests in 3 forms then I would say that is an error. The problem is that man has made hundreds of different labels that fall under christianity. Episcopal, Presbyterian, Catholic, Pentecostal etc. To be honest, I'm not interested in those labels. I'm only interested in what God says in His word. I don't see any of these man-made labels mentioned in His word. He is the Teacher, He is the Truth.

 

Sorry, I thought that the question was referring only to the three manifestations of the Godhead.

Oneness Pentecostals are very much aware of different manifestations of God.

The Holy Bible tells us 1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, then Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

Gal 1:8 "But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."

Chuck I was going to answer your question, but I wanted scripture to back up what I would tell you.... so I did a search on all the scripture that mentions the church. Heres what I came up with.

We are the church, but we need to assemble with other belivers. The word "church" means "assemble"--"ly". I also noticed that most asemblies (churches) were in some of the belivers houses.

I was recently attended a conference at a Southern Baptist Church and T. F. Tenney was one of the speakers. He is district Superintendent of the Louisanna United Pentecostal Church.
While his denomination baptises in the Name of Jesus , He did not criticize Southern Baptist.
He is a wonderful speaker and a wonderful man.
After attending the conference and Hearing T. F. Tenney ( Tommy Tenney was also there) I have determnined that I accept Him as my Brother in Christ. He did not make oneness or Trintiarian teachings an issue. He is a man that loves souls and is concerned about leading souls to Christ.
i think that if you get to know Oneness Pentecostals that you will find them to be wonderful people that are looking for the second coming of Jesus and the proclaimation of the Gospel.
I refuse to seperate with anyone over the issue of trinitarion vs oneness.
We are Brother and sisters if we know Jesus and that is what matters.
