Yay! I can get this mop on my head cut.

“Gov. Hutchinson also announced Friday that barbershops, hair salons, cosmetology services, massage therapy, body art and medical spa services may open with restrictions on May 6.

Following is a summary of the guidelines for the businesses that choose to open. A more detailed directive is to be posted to the Arkansas Department of Health website later on Friday.

    • Ten or fewer in the business, with six-foot spacing observed in waiting areas.
    • In larger facilities, no more than 30% of stations can open
    • No walk-in appointments
    • Clients should wait outside or in cars until they are ready.
    • Time must be created between an appointment to clean the stations.
    • Vulnerable populations are encouraged to not visit a barber or hair salon.
    • Face coverings are required for staff and for clients when possible.
    • Gloves should be worn.
    • Hands must be washed between clients.
    • Appointments must be postponed if the client exhibits any symptoms, even if attributed to allergies.”

Well, I was quite willing to play nice and go along with the lockdown for the past seven weeks. Now it is time to smartly, safely reopen. There is no viable alternative.

I guess the young people are calling this pandemic the boomer remover.

I had heard about this, but I was surprised when I saw the percentages - over half of the COVID-19 cases in the U.S. have been blacks and Hispanics. But I guess it makes sense since the virus has been bad in large cities, such as NYC, Detroit, Chicago.

My wife cut my hair last week but I haven’t shaved since this quarantine started. Sort of like the look but I don’t think it will work with an n95 mask.

My cardiology office in NE Pennsylvania, a high exposure area, and will begin a “slow opening” mid-May.
    • One Cardiologist per office setting (rather than 3)
    • Only 8 staff in the office, (normally 15 to 20)
    • One patient at a time, no waiting rooms
    • Only urgent, high-risk out-patients
    • Patients pre-screened; questions, temperature and pulse-ox checks.
    • Patients are given a mask and gloves.
    • Staff masked and gloved and high-risk/high exposure staff (my nuclear lab) are given N95 masks and gowns.
    • Rooms cleaned and air-cleaned/fogged after each exam.
    • Staff will be isolated, no extra-contact, bag lunches (no takeout), eat alone
    • Bathrooms super-cleaned after each use.

Next week we begin extra training and practice run throughs to insure smooth operation.

    Rob

For the Arkansas Barber shops - conditions seem somewhat reasonable.

For the Dr office - No Take out - thats not reasonable.

They probably still were Boomers who were removed no matter what their religion. I am voting for the Democrat for Governor of Indiana--he should be even more pompous.
