Where Memory Meets Eternity
Our love was, no, is unlike any other. A love we grew, we tended and cared for, unique only to us, as snowflakes are similar but all beautifully different, the fingerprints of our love are forever imprinted on our souls.
As the twilight gathers, as it must, the boundary between memory and eternity thins. My heart becomes more porous. My soul listens more closely. My sense of eternity to come sharpens. The longing to meet my Savior face to face, to be reunited with the one who walked beside me for so many years, and to leave the struggles of this life behind becomes more urgent, not less.
Though I weep more, though grief weighs ever more, I await the day, not with sadness but with joy.
