Psalm 33:3 states "Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully"

Who may join your church choir?
Anyone? or must they pass some kind of audition.
If you have someone that cannot even carry a tune in a bucket - do you let them sing?

or does vs 3 only pertain to the piano player?

If God predestined us to being a choir .... :Biggrin

I have attended churches where people had to audition to sing solos. I don't like that.

The best solo I have heard was a man in his 90's with a voice almost gone singing his testimony.

But at the same time, I suppose we expect our pianist to be able to play the paino.

Our choir "auditions" are mainly to determine a person's vocal range, to assign the part that fits one's range.
