Back in the Soup Again

    After 14 months, I was rejected by the pulpit committee (really, by a minority of it). I was told, "you are one of the best preachers we've ever heard, but you are too assertive and some people think you are not pastoral enough."

    Where can I get a personality transplant?

    14 months! Must be a might laid back church if they can't make a decision any quicker than that, probably good you didn't get a call from them, your first check could have been two years down the road :laugh:

    Sorry for the negative news but it might be mighty good news - trust the Lord begins to move soon!

    Be thankful that they didn't call you. If that is what they said and thought, your life would have been one problem after another.

    Don't know anything about personality transplant, but I remember what a great preacher said once, "I don't care who disagrees with me about my position, I do care when people disagree with me because of my disposition."
