    Tragic Pizza, you asked:
You might want to contact a moderator for clarification, but it is MY understanding that NO ONE is supposed to take threads from one place and use bits and pieces in another place. I checked the posting rules and didn't see that there tho.

    Hi Diane,

I hope that's not prohibited (at least, if it's done in a pleasant manner). It can be pretty useful sometimes.

For example, a few weeks back I saw a mention up on one of the Baptist-only boards that there were "two Baptist viewpoints about who Melchizadek was" (or something like that). I was curious, and couldn't post on that thread, so I asked down here and got some answers from a few nice folks.

So, situations like that do come up from time to time.

    God bless,

    Mark H.

It really does bug you that you can't control this board, like the RCC has attempted to control ALL Christianity, thru ALL time, doesn't it ?
</font>[/QUOTE]1. I'm not RCC. Check my profile, and note that I am PC(USA). Thank you for participating.

    2. No one is speaking of controlling anything. Re-read my posts. It is not a matter of control, but of respect. The good Doctor, and others, speak down to those of us benighted nonBaptists, reminding us when they deem appropriate that we are guests, and participate at their pleasure.

Again, your attention to my actual words will be appreciated.

    I sincerely apologize for that.

But the complaints on how things are run here do strike me as funny. Seems like the Baptists take most of the abuse, and the talking down to, around here. The non-Baptists here should be grateful they're allowed to post at all.

And I'd like to know a little more about this "PC" faith, and how it differs from others, if you would be so kind as to provide a link, or sumpthin'.

Pizza - I am sorry if you feel like you were being "talked down to". I am trying to get across a point that is being violated.

This is a Baptist-owned and run forum. If it were my choice, I would not allow anyone who is not an active and practicing Baptist from posting anywhere. There should be a place for instruction and fellowship for those of the same ilk.

The decision was made 3 years ago to allow non-baptist guests to post in certain "open" forums. That is not "talking down"; that is a teacher explaining to a student the "rules". We do it in college all the time. There is an element of respect and it is for the RULE, not the teacher or the student.

And this attitude differs from that of the RCC in exactly what way?

Yessir. I'll make a note of that.

The Presbyterian Church in the USA, http://www.pcusa.org. It's mainline, and irritatingly so. Count me as one of a growing number of evangelicals in the denomination. I'm a youth director in a PC(USA) church, and a Fundamentalist, and a Pentecostal to boot... just in case you were wondering.

    Dr. Bob,

Are you saying that you and those who espouse sodomy are of the same ilk?
