I know Dr. Bob has a number to beat me... I am #82, who has a lower member number than me?

BB golf? [IMG] (at least I'm not member 666! ) Oh well. I have played REAL golf since I was 5 years old, and play a fairly-good game. The only problem is that now, green-fees are SO high that no-one, certainly 'we preachers' can afford to play very often. I tell my kids that golf is one of the few 'life' sports-you can play golf when you're 99, but forget football at the same age! If you WALK, it is great exercise, and helps 'clear-out the cobwebs'. But as I've said, golf is SO expensive to play today, that I simply don't have the money to play very often. This truly does make me sad.

In one church, a doctor and I used to golf once each week. It was always on a slow day when no one was around. We were unorthodox golfers to be sure. We teed off alright, but the rest of the way we just threw the ball......then putted to see who got the nearest to the hole. Keep count? We only had one swing of the club, but it was a good time of fellowship and a nice walk.

Oh, in those days it only cost $2.00.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I'm not much of a putter...My number is so high, (3907) any observers would have tired of watching me play golf days ago, I'm sure if they had any sense at all, they would have all gone home to their families and their lives. [IMG]

Jude, you come on over, the course I play is $10 per round and I'll buy. It is only 3 hours from Omaha. Hey my wife and I are thinking of buying bed and breakfast here and if we do you can be our guests.

I love golf, used to play it all the time until I had other responsibilities...like being a Mom. Golf is expensive here...but you can't usually beat the weather. ;)

The last time I played golf--I played with my brother! He won! It cost me twenty "smackers" to lose! I ain't gonna pay twenty smackers just to lose!!

It don't take me long to "drive" to the green! But once I'm on the green--I can run the score up real quick!

    I like Mulligans!
