Being a Pastor and being Single

    insinuation . . . I might imply more than you like. But, I will give you the cold hard truth long before I would need to insinuate . . .

    I really haven't seen anyone post any Scritpure besides 1 Corinthians that defends the pastor of a church being a single man. I would like to know how a single man can "manage his household well"....and by extension a congregational "family".

    I said initially that I wasn't 100% sure whether my position was right or wrong, and if it could be shown that the requirements for a pastor found in 1 Timothy and Titus were only "recommendations" as some have insinuated, and not requirements, I would be open to a change in thought pattern. The sticking point for me is the word "must".

    Sorry you took my post as an attack on your scriptural views. It was meant to point out a difference I have in interpretation.
