But that would not be a correct description would it. From what you have posted it seems that your view of sovereign and grace do not comport with the bible. But since you do not like Calvinist I will have to think of someway to refer to your view.

Your posted theology puts you in the Calvinist camp but you see that as a problem due I would surmise to the negative view many have regarding the theological stance.

Only if you read your strange theology into the text.

But your understanding does not fit with the bible does it. You just keep saying it does but that does not make it so.

Also interesting, the word in the KJV in John 6:44 - drew(the Greek word,ἕλκω) - "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day." literally means "drag" and is the same Greek word used in John 21:11(Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken.) with regard to the fish being dragged to shore. The fish contributed nothing to being dragged to shore, certainly not their "free will".

But that is the problem you have. Gods' word does not teach what you say it does. Repeating that your view is correct will not change reality, "world" in 1Jn 2:2 does not mean elect. You are calling to question the veracity of the Holy Spirit.

And you are saying that you know better than all those scholars. Do you think they do not know the word of God and handle it correctly? Must say you do have a high opinion of yourself.

Why not? I believe in salvation by the sovereign grace of God in the Lord our Righteousness, Christ Jesus. And I adhere to only baptism by confessing believers.

I associate Calvinism more with churches such as the Reformed Church in America. I do not believe in baptizing infants.

Doing a word search will not help your case Austin, you have to see what the context says, remember.

What I have posted and my view of sovereign grace do comport with Biblical teaching.

My understanding does fit in with Biblical teaching. You're saying that it does not fit in with Biblical teaching does not make it not fit in with Biblical teaching.

Well Ken you may not like being called a Calvinist but you keep showing that you are one by your posts.

Yes, God's word does teach that "world" in 1 John 2:2 means all of the Jews and the Gentiles chosen by God before the world began and for whom Christ was the propitiation for their sins, so that as their sins were imputed to Christ and Christ's perfect righteousness was imputed to them.

Only if you hold to the Calvinist theology that you claim not to hold to.

Having some fancy title like "Doctor of Theology", etc. means nothing if what the person says is not in agreement with Biblical teaching. Do you just accept someone's teaching because they have some title attached to their name or because they are well-known or famous in theological circles?

When you say the Holy Spirit does not know the difference between world and elect then that becomes a valid comment. Your saying you know what God really meant to say. That is dangerous ground to step on.
