Nope. It's still there. You just have to look around for it.

I used to use it on my home desktop but my cable provider gives me McAfee for free now so I don't have to worry about it. Was just curious

Kubel put me onto this little gem in another thread. UltraVNC. http://www.uvnc.com/

With this you can put the server end onto one computer and the viewer on the other and then you can open the viewer computer and completely control the first computer that is set up like a server. I'm typing this on my laptop while watching the desktop browser display (on my laptop screen) over two wireless units on my home network.

It has some definite possibilities for my future.

Just a quick observation--this thread is 3 1/2 years old yet I still refer back to it. Talk about staying power!

Cool stuff here! I've downloaded a bunch of these tonight and am trying out the Avant Browser right now! So far, I really like it, and it does seem to move faster than Internet Explorer or Firefox. I've been on to Open Office for years, thanks to my mom, and I love that also. I recently discovered Thunderbird for email, and I have quit using the Microsoft programs, even though my free trial doesn't expire until the end of January!

Thanks for all the great links! :wavey:

Launchy is a neat little program that lets you launch almost any program or file very easily. Once installed just hit Alt+Space and it brings up a little box, start typing in the file/program name and when it comes up hit enter. I find most times it brings up what I am looking for immediately.

I do go in to the settings to add setting file types for it to index.

It is a great little program... and of course, free.

If you have not looked at Vista you have missed a new search feature that they have developed that is awesome. (One of the few improvements in my mind) :laugh:Just type in a program name or word you want to look for and it is off and running - usually very fast. (It indexes your drive so it can be quick much as google's desktop search feature.)

Anyway, this link tells about an xp add in from Microsoft (Free even) that adds the feature to your task bar in xp.

Just go to Microsofts site and search for "download wds" and you should find it.

Google has a desktop that includes a sidebar like Vista's and it has a ton of gadgets that are fairly useful.

Have an iPod, but hate using iTunes to manage it? Give Floola a shot.

    Great Bible program

    http://bpbible.com/features

This is a small program that runs Sword bible modules. It is set up as a portable apps program but you can use it freestanding as well.

THE GREAT THING about it is that it has Robertson's Harmony of the gospel built in!!!!

I just scanned in and set up in html some of my hard copy so I could have it with me but this program is much cleaner since my hard copy has a ton of notes in it

Anyway, give it a look if you want a harmony and you do need one if you are going to study in the Gospels!
