a letter arrived in Phil Calhoun’s mailbox
"Dear Phil and Nat,
Back in our days at Piedmont I walked into one of your rooms and I stole $100. I have not been able to forget about that, and wondered about how to approach this..."
Calhoun....called a phone number the writer had written in the letter and left a voice mail. “I’ve seen him around town,” Calhoun said. “We knew him well (in college.) We played basketball together.”
“It was a very honorable thing he did,” Calhoun said.
“I’m a believer in the Lord,” Calhoun said. “It shows you that it’s never too late to apologize and get things out.”
