If that did happen and Harris is no longer V POTUS - she would no longer be the President of the Senate - and if they are Split 50-50 in the Senate - Hmmm that would be interesting!

GEORGIA - REALIZE HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO ELECT BOTH REPUBLICANS TO THE SENATE!!!

Hey, great point. If H:rris is pres, the replacement vp must be approved and voted on by the Senate. With no vp, the Senate is 50/50 with no tie-breaking vote!!!

    peace to you

am I right in saying, that if the Dems win the Senate, then they have complete control, and the Reps are toothless for at least 4 years?

    Not necessiarly
first - there are Senate Elections every two years 1/3 of Senators are elected election year.
Currently there are 20 Republicn Senators up for election in 2022.
Which Senators Are Up for Reelection in 2022?

There are some Some Democrat Senators that have conservative leanings and might vote
with the Republicans on some issues.
Likewise there are some Republicans know as RINOS -(Republicans in Name only) that would vote with the Dems on some issues.

In addition - it very common for the Party in the White House to loose seats in the Congress. At the moment - 222 Dems and 212 Rep wll be seated - on 2 Jan 2021. There is one seat still up for grabs- which happens to be the district I live in- and the race is separated by 12 votes!. BUT the other day, they found 55 votes which have not been counted. They are due in Court next week to determine the validity of those 55 votes. The current incumbent is the Democrat - his opponent is the Congressman he beat 2 years ago. So if the Republican wins, she will have seniority over the 50 newly elected representatives. That is important - as seniority determines choice of offices, committees, ect.

Not totally. Some democrat senators are not progressive. One is Joe Manchin of West Virginia said he will not vote for the bad democrat policies that conservatives hate. West Virginia is a conservative state. So right on the first day is enough opposition to prevent all those thing from happening.

I was thinking about Roe v Wade, can this be overturned under Biden, esp if he gets the Senate?

If you mean in the Supreme court - the President nor congress has anything to do with the decisions the Court might make.

As far as passing a constitutional amendment - realistically - NO WAY
2/3 of both Houses must pass a proposed amendment
then 2/3 of all States must ratify.
The President is not involved in the approval/veto of a constitional amendment.

With God anything is possible, however this is very improbable no matter who is POTUS. God would have to change hearts or simply replace people in government with His people to get that done. (one way or another )

What is bad here with Biden is Title X abortion funding will be resumed under Biden by executive orders, meaning taxpayer funded abortions. Planned parenthood announced it was proud to be working with Biden on day one of his presidency to fund abortions.

here is more on Trump and Title X, but you can look up much more.
Circuit court stops Trump admin. from enforcing Title X ban on funding clinics that promote abortion - The Christian Post

Christians who voted for Biden also voted for abortion and more abortions, that is what those 'Christian' voters like. They also voted for LGBTQ+ legislation and executive orders, actions that enhance LGBTQ+ in society.

I see, so the Senate, even though lawmakers, cannot overturn this?

how could they have do so? Surely is would be morally wrong for any true Christian to vote for Biden/Harris? Am I right in thinking that she is worse than Biden, and could influence him with her views?

I know a Christian man goes to church every Sunday, participates in all sorts of church activities, who always votes for democrats. When I ask him why he supports abortion, he says there are more important things than abortion such as social justice and racism by what he call the 'evil republicans'. He is also a communist.
I told him his party is made up of a lot of LGBTQ+, abortionists, you name it they stand for it, and he just gets mad at me, saying its a lie.

Everything we do (our works) is written down in books in heaven. Now these people here are coming under judgement, but if your truly been converted you will not come under judgement but have passed from death into life. John 5:24

But for the false and liars who practice the works of the flesh and love a lie, this
    Revelation 20
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

    Revelation 21
7 He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

None are justified by their works before God. Only by their faith, having been converted by the gospel are they justified.

    Romans 3
25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Close. Ratification requires 3/4 of the states, currently 38 out of 50, either by legislature or convention, depending. Article V:

The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other mode of ratification may be proposed by the Congress; provided that no amendment which may be made prior to the year one thousand eight hundred and eight shall in any manner affect the first and fourth clauses in the ninth section of the first article; and that no state, without its consent, shall be deprived of its equal suffrage in the Senate.

The party controlling the White House often loses control of the House of Representatives the first off-year election, which for Biden would be 2022.

The American people often vote for this perpetual gridlock. That is, one party gets the White House and the other party either gets the House of Representatives or the Senate or both. Nothing ever gets done.

Mark Twain said that we have the best Congress that money can buy.
