Yes Paul uses the Republican party infrastructure for his own means. Since then he has resigned from Congress due to his disapproval of Reagan.

He has said that Bush should be impeached over the North American Union and the Amero, which do not even exist.

He has gone before Congress and accused Republicans of contriving a Gulf of Tonkin incident in order to provoke a war with Iran, which didn't happen.

His followers have called Republicans Rino's, Zionist war-mongers, war-criminals and so forth, and all the while insisting that they are the true Republicans. You called Republicans corrupt about 5 times in your post. If that is the case maybe you owe it to yourself to make other arrangements. Goldwater was a long time ago.

Like spoiled children who can't have their way.

That is Paul's MO. It's what one would expect from paulbots.

believe that most paulbots are Obama supporters at heart. If they can't have Paul, their second choice is Obama.

I've come to that same conclusion.

I wonder if it something along the same line of reasoning as the defense of Ron Paul's earmarks...

"Obama will win anyway so I may as well vote for him".

I don't think Obama is really their second choice, IMHO, is more like "If we don't get our way - you'll be sorry and it will be your fault" Another words, Paulbots do not believe in the dreaded C word - compromise.

I am not a Republican, so I have made other arrangements, but the Republican establishment have made it almost impossible for there to ever be a 3rd party run. So, we have two options. Fight for reform in an existing party or lose. I am fighting for reform.

Yes, the Republican Party is corrupt... very corrupt. Hey, the Dem's are too... True story. When President Clinton was impeached, my best friend worked in the Senate as a Lawyer. The Revelation of Monica Lewinsky was just about to come out and many of the Republicans and organizations were excited. He remembers being in a meeting where some of the leaders came in and said, "This will be the best fund raising event for us in year." It had little to do with Clinton, they were just excited about getting the money. He said one of the jobs they would do is when money was tight, aids were sent to read through old liberal magazines to try to get anything they could use to raise money. Again, it is a corrupt system based more on money and power than on principle and policy.

Yes, I do believe Bush should be impeached. While Paul believed Bush should be impeached, and I agree, I have heard him use other reasons. Except for his pro-life stand, Bush was a horrible President.

BTW, Goldwater was several years ago... so was Lincoln and T. Roosevelt, but people still refer to them dearly within the Republican Party. Republicans still say they are the party of Lincoln and Newt has been referring to Teddy all year. Please, criticize the RNC and Newt for referring to someone older than me. PLease, because if not then you would be inconsistent.

Wow, you sound very dignified in this post. So, tell me, how do I quack like a Paulbot? Do I believe in Austrian Economics? Yes. But is that what a Paulbot is? Do I agree with Paul in every element? No! Did I support him 4 years ago? Even though I did some work for his campaign, I believed he was not the best person at that time. I have been very critical of Ron Paul and even in my written endorsement, I take three exceptions to Paul, and I hoped he would not run for President in favor of his son Rand would have run. That is not a Paulbot.

Will I vote for Ron and hope he wins? Yes! If that is a Paulbot, I am guilty. However, that also makes you guilty of name calling for no other reason than to be an antagonist. That should be beneath Christians. YOu may disagree with me, but calling others names is highly undignified and unChristian. If you can't address the issues, you probably should shut up instead of attacking others.

I am glad you have been fighting the 2 party system for years. I go back to Ross Perot's day, while I didn't support Perot, I believed we needed more parties but realized how difficult that was unless you were a self made man.

That's fine. But wouldn't this be sort of like me going to the Libertarian party and proclaiming that I'm going to help them reform...from the inside? They'd likely tell me to go jump in a lake. And the horse I rode in on.

YOu are killing your credibility. Just because they were excited about fundraising does not show the motivation. And they did not have control of Starr's investigation. Bush, who was terrible on spending, did not commit high crimes and misdemeanors. RP is about like Perot.

Why on earth would a Goldwater Republican pick Obama second? He is even FARTHER to the left than you guys are! He wants even BIGGER government (although, admittedly, you guys want a pretty enormous nanny state yourselves...), wants even MORE abortions (although, admittedly, you guys have written some pretty abortion friendly laws...), and he just wants to impose HIS morals on the country, instead of "our side" imposing ours.

Not to mention that he is in wholehearted agreement with your sides complete rejection of the Constitution, believing that the president can just unilaterally attack anyone he wants, sicking the armed forces on folks he doesn't like, as if they were some kind of trained attack dogs.

See, I don't want the economic side of Socialism (Obama), NOR do I want the cultural/moral side of socialism (RINO's, with a dash of Fascism on the side). I want the Democratic Republic which our Constitution provides, and since neither side is offering that, one side has to be usurped. That was what the Tea Party was all about...

Let's see - Paul supporters want Obama to be president, and Paul is like Perot. You either know nothing at all about Paul or Perot or you are getting desparate for an argument.

He did, the Patriot Act and the acts against American Citizens were both unconstitutional and wrong. His ignoring our Constitution and trying to bypass it by detaining people indefinitely without any charges is a violation of our Civil Liberties and illegal. I would have voted to impeach Bush based upon those issues. We fought a Revolution because of these issues, and we have several Presidents who ignore these principles in the United States Constitution. If we are not a country of laws, we become a lawless people.

You wouldn't even get 20% of the vote. Ron Paul is getting these totals. As well, Reagan was nominated with many of the same ideas as was Barry Goldwater.

In other words, there is precedence for a Goldwater Republican winning the Republican Nomination. There is no precedence for a non-libertarian winning the Libertarian Nomination. Paul, as well, is gaining quite a bit of support.

So, the difference is that Paul has supporters in the Republican Party, is able to get on every single ballot (only Romney can claim this) and he has the only 50 state campaign strategy outside of Romney.

So tell me, if he can get all this support inside the Republican Party, why are you discounting him as a Republican?

Yet, he voted for Jefferson before he voted for Teddy. :)

With the help of democrats looking for an easy Obama win.

Actually, Paulbots always number between 9-11%. The rest is smoke and mirrors.
