Ok so where is "yec'ers" mentioned in the op?

Not explicitly. But the language the legislator wanted to insert into the bill was:

"The Columbian Mammoth, which was created on the Sixth Day with the other beasts of the field."

Do you know any other creationists other than YECers that capitalize the Day of Creation and claim all other beasts were created on that same day?

Well you are welcome to make of that what you will. I think it is in direct contradiction to your criticism of other posts. Will keep this in mind in the future.

So what? That doesn't mean he's a YEC'er (a term you used as though it's an epithet, by the way) as many believers in biblical creation of varying degrees adopt the concept of a six-day creation without defining those days as literal, 24-hour days. Many claim the word yowm' was used metaphorically for ages of creation which could stretch back, by their reckoning, millions of years.

Also, your use of the plural for the acronym is misleading given it is, as Curtis pointed out, only one man, and he hasn't "held anything up," or even "put the bill on ice" as the Fox story states. The bill hasn't been brought out of the Senate committee for consideration by the full chamber yet. This is much ado about nothing.

Guys, I HATE it when I get out-pedantic-ized. Congratulations! I cry uncle.

And you guys missed one. The bill is to make the Columbian mammoth the state fossil, not the wooly mammoth. Thanks for playing, though.
