Anyone here ever been to an Anglican or other blessing of the animals worship service? If so, what was it like?

    Michael...

Prior to my conversion i was a Catholic. The Catholics have pet blessing services from time to time.

    I wish we..(Baptists/Evangelicals)..would have them.

Its a nice thing to do, and there is good scriptural support regarding animals in heaven.

    I agree.

Anglicans have these around the first part of October, as part of the commemoration of Francis of Assisi.

Could you enlighten us as to Scripture and those animals in heaven?

    Gladly

Both of these are from the scriptures..

Jesus told us that in heaven the wolf and lamb will lie together. (no predatory animals killing the weaker ones)

    Also...Christ riding a horse.

Animals in heaven and animals in the new earth are two completely different things.

The Isaiah passage is animals on earth not in heaven. The Revelation passage is figurative language used to describe a literal event. Do you have anything that places animals in heaven?

Worshiping the creation rather than the creator. Sad

First Baptist Augusta is the birthplace of your Southern Baptist Convention. It hosted the first meeting in 1845.

What is sad is your misrepresentation of the truth. So, you're saying that blessing animals is the same as worshiping them. When you bless the food you eat, are you worshiping that?

What part of Romans 8:18-23 do you not believe?
