I am a self confessed book addict. :D I wonder what books we could recommend to any new Christians who might come to the board, even if they are not members but browsing I thought it might be a good idea to have a list of books we would recommend to our more recent brothers and sisters in Christ.

    Blessings

    Sheila

"Pursuit of Holiness" by Jerry Bridges is an amazing book on the practical aspects of sanctification.

Key lessons for new Christians, IMHO.

Good devotional like "Morning and Evening" by Spurgeon would really help a new believer get into the Word and understand it.

I would have to agree with Dr. Bob on Spurgeon's Morning and Evening.

Here are few another Baptist friend and I have suggested to new Christians or those coming back after being away a bit:

Know What You Believe: Connecting Faith and Truth by Paul E. Little
Know Why You Believe by Paul E. Little
    Knowing Scripture by R.C.Sproul
Studying, Interpreting, and Applying the Bible by Walter Henrichsen and Gayle Jackson

Imitatione Christi by Thomas a Kempis.
Those not fluent in late medieval churchlatin ought to consider using an English translation.

    What?
