People who run companies can certainly alienate people if they wish, but better to keep their mouths shut about politics and religion.

Now what happens if J C Penney merges with Chick-Fil-A? The universe implodes?

I guess it depends on what or who you love the most. :jesus:

Well the mayor can definitely say whatever he desires...but he can't do annything to keep the company out of his city.

I flew through Boston-Logan a couple of months ago. Outside the entrance to the airport are three flags: the US flag, the state flag, and a rainbow flag. It told me alot about their view of the importance of this issue.

Perhaps we are now seeing the tipping point of the anti-biblical marriage (hehe...see its easy to make anything "anti") crowd. They now are overplaying their hand. It has moved from "hey we're hear and we deserve a voice" to "accept us or else." Some pro-gay groups are planning a "kiss-in" at Chick-fil-a's across the US to protest. So we have to accept their position or else? Odd that this is the natural result of their agenda.

I do think it is overplaying their hand. This kind of rhetoric will only embolden evangelicals and believers. The minute Chick-fil-a restaraunts start getting closed down there will be a reaction. The homosexual crowd is, estimated, probably only 5% to 8% of the population. Evangelicals are much more than that. Should be interesting to see what happens here.

I like Chick-fil-a, I eat there enough (its my number one fastfood destination.) I don't care what the owner says or supports. It doesn't impact how he makes a chicken sandwhich imho.

Cathy's statements were stupid for a businessman to make; and divisive. What did he expect?

His comments were bold and a refreshing change. He's a Christian first and just like Will Smith, and Brad Pitt and all of Hollyweird can speak out in endorsement of same-sex marriage, he is perfectly okay in speaking against it.

Chick-fil-a will be fine.

Yes, and it takes more faith to speak up then to remain silent. This man should be held in high standings by those who seek to honor the Lord.

OK, as long as he promises to make some of Boston's more flamboyant politicians
Stay in Boston!

So Chic-Fil-A (or however it's spelled) doesn't open in Boston. Who's being hurt more, the entrepreneur who can go elsewhere, or the Bostonian who won't be getting the job?

I agree 100% with Dan Cathy (Chic-fil-A CEO) statement on Biblical marriage and also with his right to say it and will be one of the 250,000 plus supporting him by buying a sandwich Wednesday August 1st. I might add that I admire his stance, however this is part of Gods Providencial Plan being carried out adding fuel to the end time persecution and martyring of Christians.

The gays love to bully and push their agenda, but Lord help if someone stands in opposition. Gays are entitled and we should be tolerant of their ideas, yet they are intolerant of opposing views.
