It's sad that this is where we are today--that it's all about photo-ops and appearances. Furthermore, we are not discriminating enough as a populace to see through the smokescreen.
Finally, this kind of stuff has a high price--it turns all of us into cynics. It means that pretty much any story, good or bad, we're looking for the slant, the punchline, the hidden agenda.
