    And indeed in Mark 3...."He appointed twelve -designating them apostles" NIV...and some mss omit the phrase...designating them apostles........

    The whole purpose of modern ordination is to test a man as to his qualifications, as a man, to minister the word and lead his church. The gathering of men gives their opinion about the man to the local church and the local church ordains the man. The association signs the legal papers for governmental purposes.
