    ????

11 for the children being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth,
12 it was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.
13 Even as it is written, Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated. Ro 9

You have scripture that contradicts that?

Hated in te sene of not loving him as much /same way as e did Jacob. Jesus said we are o hate parents, but meant love Him before them, not outright hatred!

Not PB dogma, my observation. Is there something not true about the statement? Does the simile contain a command to try to persuade the tares to become wheat?

Show me one instance in the scriptures of a child of the devil becoming a child of God.

Paul was never a child of the devil.

15 But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother`s womb, and called me through his grace,
16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood: Gal 1

What does the "hate" that God has towards Esau mean??? Please define hate.

Paul WAS a child of satan...injurious and working the works of his father...murdering the church...he was a tare...only a Jew outwardly at one time. An enemy of God was he.

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son

Paul, formerly Saul. Paul, a child of the King. Saul, a child of the devil.

Think our brother holds to eternal election, in sense that thoe saved by God are born that way!
Or else are born already in a saved sense as God will save them period?

    Wrong.

But not children of the devil. Lost SHEEP, not goats or tares or of the evil one. See post #39, absolutely no hope for a child of the devil.

So let me try and deduce something...The Prodigal son is a microcosm of the Christian's Reality. We (true believers) were (already) all "Children of the Father", but God Woke us up (made us alive) while we were in the mire and brought us back to Him. Would you say that is what you believe?

    BINGO!

It's the whole gist of Christ's dialogue with Nicodemus; before one can enter in or even see the kingdom of God one must first be 'born from above'.
