There is a guideline for places of worship in Alberta found here:

    https://open.alberta.ca/dataset/2be...nch-guidance-places-of-worship-2021-04-06.pdf

There is an order that operators of the places of worship must follow those guidelines in order to operate here

A Canadian pastor who was briefly jailed for violating public health orders by holding church services amind ongoing lockdown restrictions has compared his situation to those living in Hong Kong, where Christians are routinely persecuted for meeting for worship.

In an interview with Newsmax hours after his release from jail Monday night, Artur Pawlowski, pastor of Street Church in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, said, “I just woke up in Hong Kong a few days ago. I mean, I thought I emigrated to our beloved Canada, but I am in Hong Kong, full force.”

“It’s insanity — arresting pastor, shutting down churches. Craziness,” Pawlowski added, The Epoch Times reports.

The barrister makes the points that the court order the pastor is charged with violating:
    • was made in reference to a completely different organization. The AHS broadened the order from a specific organization to the whole province.
    • the order laid out specific terms of notification. Which the AHS did not comply with instead relying on a "vague" press release.

Maybe unlike you, some of us see liberty as essential.

Indeed. That's what Democrat tyrants wanted to do to John Macarthur, but it didn't work out too well for the scum bags.

This is just one province, but I think Canada has "progressed" more in its anti-Christian attitudes and laws, and evidently their law enforcement is going along with that "progress." If the people aren't outraged, then the country has "progressed."

The case was withdrawn becaues of an error made by the Calgary Police 3 days before his arrest when the order to comply with the the law was given to someone other than Tim Stephens. Because of this, he was not given proper notice, thus the case withdrawn. So he could still get arrested again in the future if they can hand deliver the order to the right person next time and he still fails to comply.

    Liberty is essential.

As is following the rule of law of our land and obeying God's holy and pure scripture in Romans 13.

AHS' problem is the injunction they are seeking to enforce is narrowly focused on the Whistle Stop Cafe. Please see a screenshot at 6:20

Romans 13 is a critically important passage, and it needs to be considered in light of Acts 5:27-33. Whether the subject case fits within the Acts 5 passage I can't say - don't know all the facts in the situation.

Seems to me we should also be outraged about the gestapo tactics in DC. No bail? Solitary confinement? Months on end? No mention of this by the msm? Why do I have to go to the UK to find current US news, which upon reading the story the leftist bias is still always present, so they get to have their cake & eat it too.

Christian pastor arrested for Covid breach

So many pastors and Christians bringing shame to God's name with their lack of obedience to God, particularly Romans 13 and Mark 12:30-31.

The millions of Christians who have no problems with worshiping under health orders have their witness tarnished by these belligerent few who have been misled and deceived by online misinformation. This only makes Satan happy.

The Melbourne outbreak of the India strain has now expanded to 60 cases and they are trying to contain it as aged care workers have been tested positive. One case travelled up to NSW and had over 100 contacts so it is likely that soon NSW will be getting cases as well after having only a handful of cases of local spread for over 6 months.

Our economy has now recovered to beyond pre-covid levels but that is being threatened by this new Melbourne outbreak.

Australia is one of six countries to grow its economy since the pandemic began. This is why
