My grandson and I traveled to Cedarville University last week to check out their School of Pharmacy program.
We were very impressed! The campus is well maintained. The professors, students and staff that we interacted with were quite helpful.
In every building they have a mission statement; “Transforming lives through excellent education and intentional discipleship in submission to biblical authority.
During our short time there they communicated the desire to have their students integrate their faith and their learning.

He was accepted and plans to attend in the fall… a 7 year commitment.

Well... it is in Ohio so I guess that's understandable. :Cool

We can hope that was just a joke :Wink, but here is what the real world looks like.

High school students may choose our direct-entry Pharmaceutical Sciences/Prepharmacy major, which leads to the Pharm.D. and can be completed in six or seven years. Transfers and bachelor's-degreed applicants who have completed required prerequisites will enter the four-year professional program, the Doctor of Pharmacy.

    He’s a smart kid.

    He’s been accepted into the Pharm.D. + M.B.A. program.
They come out with a doctorate in pharm, an MBA in business and a minor in Bible.

If I was only younger I do it along with him!
But I never had the grades needed.
    It looks exciting!

    I can see it now.
A private business pharmacy where you hear the gospel! :Cool
"Come for the drugs, leave with the Lord!"
How's that for a storefront motto!? :Whistling

Organic Chem was my favorite course! One of the few college course books I still have in my library.

Yeah, I almost blew my brains out memorizing it but I passed with a B+ (come to think of it I don’t think I use any of it now).

Physics was my nemesis - and according to all the students we met it is the wall one has to climb.

Interesting. My son breezed through physics but hit the wall at organic chemistry. The same with my wife. Both continued on in their paths, but org chem was their nemesis. There was some math course, not calculus, but a course that basically explores the theory and rational of math that was a tough class for my son as he mixed chemistry and computer science together.
I hope your grandson has a great experience at Cedarville...despite it's location in ohio. :Cool

No, it's not stats. That one wasn't hard for my son. It's basically the theory of math. I'll have to ask my son what that class was. It was a class that coincided with his upper level calculus.
Anyway, props to the folks that God has gifted to breeze through those types of classes and props to your grandson. May he bring glory to our King.
