    There are believers in the Methodist church but being a Methodist doesn't make one a believer.

    Absolutely. In even the most "perfect" of churches, there are the unregenerate. It happens. But to say "I'm a Christian because I attend ______ Church" is wrong. One is not a Christian because they attend a particular church unless you're talking about the very general "Christian or Jew" that seems to be the divisions here where I live.

    I say preach the word, and let the Holy Spirit do His work in lives. I don't care how many people call themselves Christians. Lord help us, the United States has claimed to have "Christian" origins from its very beginning. At best those leaders were nominal .

    All through Moses' covenanted law, Yhvh strictly instructed His people that they were not to marry idolaters and/or the practitioners of heathen cults and religions. Well, Judaism regards Christianity as exactly that, especially since its practitioners worship a human being; which in the Jewish mind, is a direct violation of the very first of the so-called ten commandments. So then, from the perspective of Judaism, Chelsea's Jewish husband Marc is in violation of Moses' covenanted law; which means he has brought to her marriage a terrible condition.

    †. Deut 27:26 . . Cursed is the man who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out.

    †. Gal 3:10 . . Those who depend on the law to make them right with God are under its curse, for the Scriptures say: Cursed is everyone who does not observe and obey all these commands that are written in the book of the Law.

    I guess the curse is fitting since Chelsea's marriage essentially unites one criminal family with another.
