Thanks. Homosexual rapist McCarrick went to China for Pope Francis and allowed the Chinese to pick the bishops for the RCC in China. Recently they arrested a former real bishop for travelling when he was under a sort of house arrest that forbade his going anywhere. Communists just like to persecute Christians.

The Chinese have begun another reign of terror as the Nixon idea that we could make them reasonable by making them rich turned out to be just an illusion. Trump is pivoting away from China, which is threatening everyone in the Pacific and even has lots of troops on their border with Russia.

Xi is certainly bad news for China. He wants to be the next Mao. He seems to be succeeding.

Having said that, the title of the article is a bit misleading. It is not Christians per se that are being targeted but underground churches. When we were in Jilin, China we attended a church that was not an underground church. I had problems with it because it was a Hyles-Anderson type KJV only church. But it was the church we knew about in the area.

But Christians in China are facing increasing persecution, as in some other parts of the world. We are concerned for some of our friends, fellow teachers and students there. The believers there, those who bravely let it be known they are believers, are Christians with a cattpital C.

It turns out that The Vatican is recognizing the bishops selected by the communists. McCarrick got a bad deal so Papa Che should not have lifted the sanctions on the homosexual rapist and covered up for him because not Pope Francis is over as a total failure. But don't expect the next Pope to be any better because liberals dominate among the cardinals, who cannot vote after age 80, and the Americans especially think that homosexuality is natural, but then some in the SBC do, too.

As they say at the senior center--depends. Cardinal Cupich in Chicago is raiding the cemetery funds to pay damages to Chicago victims. He is closing churches and selling property. He tells churches to raise money to keep their doors open and when they exceed the quota, he takes the money to pay victims and closes the churches anyway. He is talking about selling the parking lot for Holy Name Cathedral just north of the Loop. He might as well sell the building, too, because no one goes there anymore. I would only give enough money to keep the building open. Where Baptists and Roman Catholics have made a mistake is in trying to settle these abuses behind closed doors. The police should be called right away in these sex crimes and then the churches would not be so culpable like Cupich. The SBC needs to retire Greear, Moore, and Mohler. My guess is that Greear, who is an idiot, will be re-elected. Moore could not find another job if he tried. Mohler is real bright but he likes to play both ends against the middle. The SBC is stuck in the mud right now. As for me, even if I am addicted to brake fluid, I can stop whenever I want.
