China wants a new Global Currency

I was listening to NPR news a little while ago while driving to town, and heard this story about China wanting to create a new global currency and do away with the US Dollar. According to what I heard on the radio, Russia had proposed this a couple weeks ago. What I missed was the part where a couple Obama officials.. I think Bernanke was one, and Geithner may had been the other.. were asked if they would support such a move, and whoever they were said they would.

I have 3 questions...

1. Has anyone else heard about this.. and if so, who were the 2 Obama officials that said it was a good idea? Please provide a link so we can be informed.
2. Doesn't the US constitution keep us from doing this?
3. What do you all think?

 

Found it myself, and I was wrong.. both Geithner and Bernanke are against the idea... sorry...
